Why Animas?

All throughout my elementary, and middle school years I struggled with the traditional learning system. I always felt pressured and stressed about not only the environment that was created, but also about the way that we were being taught because it made it difficult for me to understand. So, I chose Animas because of the different learning system that is taught here, which I believe is a better fit for me and my education. In the four years that I am here, I hope to gain experience from not only my education but also from interacting with others in this community. I believe that understanding and knowing your community is a good way for everyone to come together and understand one another regardless of everyone’s differences. My education is something that is very important to me. I not only am here for a better future, I am here to receive an education that fits me and my needs as a student. Animas has given me the opportunity to show the effort that my mother has given for me to have a better opportunity in life. Animas is a school in which the teachers support the student in what path they choose for their future, regardless of career path or occupation. Although I am yet not sure what path I will take in the future, I am sure Animas will prepare me in four years to succeed regardless of the path I choose. ​
